WHAT IS A PRP??

In Maryland, a psychiatric rehabilitation program (PRP) is an accreditation-based licensed program that provides community-based comprehensive rehabilitation and recovery services and supports and promotes successful community integration and use of community services.  People Inspiring People provides counseling through a process of involving an interdisciplinary team of licensed therapists and counselors that assists persons with mental developmental, emotional and cognitive disabilities to achieve their goals in an integrated setting, while applying the counseling process. The counseling process involves communication, goal setting, self -advocacy, psychological, vocational, and behavioral interventions.

People Inspiring People’s community integration program focuses on life-enhancing activities, active learning, and community involvement. The program is designed to keep individuals engaged in activities, learning daily living skills, and volunteering in the community. The program also provides information on spiritual and cultural activities.

Clients will learn essential life skills for independent living and fulfilling meaningful roles. Rehabilitation counselors will work to help clients set and meet recovery goals in the following areas.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation for Adults, Children, & Adolescents!!

PRPs for children, and adolescents are goal-directed, outcome-focused, and time-limited interventions designed to reduce behavioral and emotional problems while restoring and strengthening age-appropriate skills in order for the youth to perform at their highest potential.

Licensed Rehabilitation Specialist

We provide you with a safe space where you can freely talk about the things that are bothering you.

Rehabilitation Counselor

Works closely with the rehabilitation specialist as well as clients to ensure that the treatment plan is individualized and meets the needs of the client. Counselors meet with clients on and off-site.

Interdisciplinary Team Approach

The rehabilitation team is comprised of a Program Director, Licensed Rehabilitation Specialists and Rehabilitation Counselors.
